I updated the aquarium page with some more info. I've decided to only maintain one gallery for it, I'll use my facebook gallery, I find it easier to maintain than the one here, link is in the aquarium page.

Trip to Ikea bore fruit, I bought some tables that I assembled into a computer desk that I put in my room, I setup my pc on it and I'm slowly emptying out the extra room for an eventual roommate.

My parents are bringing the family cat to the vet today to get him put down, he's almost 17 years old and has been sick for a while, he's lost alot of weight and he can hardly walk straight anymore and everything he eats just comes back out... It sucks, but it's not entirely unexpected.

Other than the cat thing, life is decent, not much else new.

The time of my vacation.... Wooo!

I'm off all next week, there will be lots of vegging, some cooking from a cookbook Red got me. He's cool like that. Also some messing around with the aquarium and probably a trip to Ikea. There's an update on my aquarium on the aquarium side, check it out.

The coraline (purple and red stuff on the rocks) spreading to the base (white) rocks that I have, I'm excited... Fish soon!

Is good, work's boring, I'm excited to go back to school next year (at the cordon bleu school for cooking) and the aquarium's doing pretty good too (updates on the aquarium page).

Not really alot of new things going on, I went to an open house for the cordon bleu on the 26th, it was very interesting, once I pay off a few credit card debts I'll apply, I'd like to start next summer.

I'll probably look for a roommate soon, I just have to procure a new desk for the pc, I'll need a really big desk, I'm planning on putting my pc (2 19" monitors, my 10 gallon aquarium and also I'd like to have some sppace to do misc. things (miniatures, etc.). Then move everything from the office into my room.

I tried llama's rootin' tootin' chilli today... It's decent, not as spicy as I wanted and could use a bit more flavour, but that's all things that can be tweaked with experimentation. All in all it's not terrible.

Got the stuff I ordered yesterday, now I have pretty much all I need for the aquarium, can't wait to get it really going, there's some pics up in the aquarium part of the site in case people are wondering.

Well, I'll continue eating this chilli.

I went to Mont cascades (waterpark) on saturday, it was fun, but I got a sun burn, it was fine, if a bit painful, until this morning. Now the place where it transitions form lobster red to pasty white is super itchy... I think I'll live though.

The aquarium's full now, the levels are all pretty close to perfect right now, the temperature is a bit higher than I'd like, but I think it'll be ok, I also need to add calcium (I ordered some today). My dad's supposed to come by this week with my live rocks and some sand from his aquarium to help mine get established. I'm not sure what kind of fish to get, the ones I wanted are green chromis, I wanted 5 or 6 of them cause they're a nice schooling fish and it's better to have a larger group of them, but my aquarium's too small. I still have some time before I have to decide what, if any fish I want. I'll have crabs for sure, at least some hermit crabs, some snails, some pulsing xenia and some zoanthids.

I made some bread from scratch yesterday, 2 loaves, one white, one raisin, I don't know how they taste, I'm more worried about the raisin bread tasting horrible. I also have a slow cooker now, I'm making llama's rootin' tootin' chilli tomorrow, I'll start the process tomorrow morning and let it cook all day at home.
